THE TRACKER ACADEMY
We’ve partnered with the Tracker Academy to create employment opportunities for young people across South Africa. Together, we’re on a journey to revive traditional wildlife tracking skills. Skills that have protected the land for thousands of years.
Partnering with The Tracker Academy
INEOS is providing bursaries to young trackers from rural areas. So, they can master the vital skills crucial to both conservation and local communities.
INEOS stands as the region’s first automotive company to be involved in an initiative of this nature. We’re proud to be supporting the people tasked with looking after the types of environments the Grenadier was built for.
DRIVING TRADITIONS
Tracking is the art of reading animal signs, to know what they're doing without seeing them. It plays an essential role in wildlife management, conservation, and ecotourism. So, it's vital tracking skills aren't lost.
During a comprehensive program at the Tracker Academy, students experience the diverse range of wildlife that calls the semi-desert and bushveld home. Rhinos. Jaguars. Springboks. And many other animals.
With over nine hundred hours of field experience, students will learn to decipher animal tracks, identify trees and plants, and master the skills to help protect wildlife.
“Since day one, our goal has been to empower tracker graduates to become ambassadors for the African wildlife conservation industry. “We are dedicated to bringing authenticity and accuracy to environmental education, wildlife protection, eco-tourism, monitoring, and research, and we are delighted to be partnering with INEOS Automotive to share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of social ecology and our communities.”
