Egan Bernal Turns Milan Pink At The Giro d'Italia
01 June 2021
After three weeks of racing in the rain, snow and sunshine, INEOS Grenadiers’ Egan Bernal celebrated his first Maglia Rosa next to Milan’s famous Duomo di Milano on Sunday.
What better way to congratulate Egan therefore than with a specially commissioned Grenadier wrapped in the traditional La Gazetta dello Sport inspired Maglia Rosa colors. The INEOS Grenadier 2B prototype was supporting the riders across the 2,174 mi of racing. Carrying nutrition, spares and parts over some of the toughest climbs and longest stages.
The ‘Grenadier Rosa’ was presented at the end of the Time Trial stage once Egan crossed the line one minute and twenty nine seconds ahead of the field after three weeks of racing. The whole INEOS Automotive team congratulates Egan and are proud to represent his achievements through the vehicle, which was with him and the other seven riders since the start.
