After three weeks of racing in the rain, snow and sunshine, INEOS Grenadiers’ Egan Bernal celebrated his first Maglia Rosa next to Milan’s famous Duomo di Milano on Sunday.

What better way to congratulate Egan therefore than with a specially commissioned Grenadier wrapped in the traditional Gazetta Dello Sport inspired Maglia Rosa colours. The INEOS Grenadier 2B prototype has been supporting the riders across the 3,500km of racing. Carrying nutrition, spares and parts over some of the toughest climbs and longest stages.

The ‘Grenadier Rosa’ was presented at the end of the Time Trial stage once Egan had crossed the line one minute and twenty nine seconds ahead of the field after three weeks of racing. The whole INEOS Automotive team congratulate Egan and are proud to represent his achievements through the vehicle, which has been with him and the other seven riders since the start.

It was great to see the Grenadier at the end of the Giro d’Italia wearing a Maglia Rosa of its own! It’s been with us throughout, helping the Team move from stage to stage and supporting extra feeds to keep us fuelled on the most difficult stages.
